I picked French Creek State Park, south of Reading and west of Philadelphia as my home base for what I thought would be plenty of adventuring. Unfortunately, between a stultifying two-day work training session, rain, and gnarly traffic, I ended up doing almost no adventuring. I had plans to go to the Mütter Museum, the Eastern State Penitentiary, the Magic Gardens, and more, but those will have to happen another time.
I did, however, buy a used violin on OfferUp from a sweet college freshman named Kenny Yip who no longer needed his student instrument, and I’ve started sawing away and trying to learn. I also nearly finished the vest I’ve been knitting, saw a very old and cool car in the parking lot of the campground bathroom, and was able to document the absurd way my dogs sleep with/on me every night, so it wasn’t a total loss.
